About MR Instruments, Inc. 

MR Instruments Inc. is an independent design and manufacture firm of RF coils and specialty products for leading MRI systems.

MR Instruments was formed in 2002 to commercialize RF coil technology developed at the Center for Magnetic Resonance Research (CMRR) at the University of Minnesota, Massachusetts General Hospital, and the University of Alabama.  The proprietary and patented RF coil technology has been used by the world's leading research institutions for more than 18 years, and is now available to original equipment manufacturers (OEM), as well as clinical and research facilities.

In 2009, the company focused resources into neuroimaging with the introduction of the first clinical 32-channel 3.0T head coil.  This was quickly followed by a, 1.5T and 3.0T, 16-channel head coil.  In 2011, MR Instruments will be increasing the breadth of its product line with world class RF coils that will exceed the expectations of the clinical user, while meeting the needs of the MR industry.  MR Instruments will continue to work with the MR research community, developing specialty products to advance the science of MR, on an as-requested basis.
